Apple Watch SE 2 specifications and pricing tipped – Times of India

In 2020, Apple introduced the Watch SE, an affordable variant of the Apple Watch. The formula for the Apple Watch SE was very similar to the iPhone SE – tone down certain features to keep the price low. Now, it seems like the Cupertino giant may launch the next iteration of the Watch SE, presumably dubbed Watch SE 2 or Watch SE (2nd generation). According to a report, the Apple Watch SE successor might feature a similar look with some changes made under the hood.
Apple Watch SE 2: Price, launch date (rumoured)
A recent report from iDrop reveals the specifications and pricing of the Apple Watch SE 2. As per some uncited sources, the Apple Watch SE 2 might come at a starting price of $299 (Rs 22,836). It is reported to come in two sizes – 40mm and 42mm. There is no word on when it will be launched, but keeping the usual timeline in mind, it should be launched alongside the upcoming iPhones in September.
Apple Watch SE 2: Features and specifications (rumoured)
The Apple Watch SE 2 is expected to come with an aluminium housing with a similar design to its predecessor. The Watch SE 2 would have a similar display as the Watch SE, having the same screen-to-body ratio. Furthermore, the second generation Watch SE is said to be powered by the S7 chip, the same chip found inside last year’s Watch Series 7.
With the S7 chip, the Watch SE 2 might bring a few awaited additions. The report suggests that the next-generation Watch SE 2 will feature the Always On Display, an ECG sensor and improved audio quality over its predecessor. The battery capacity is expected to remain unchanged, offering 18 hours of battery life but the Watch SE 2 could borrow fast charging from the Watch Series 7.
