YouTube video ‘Queue’ on Android, iOS is now available in India: Here’s how you can test it – Times of India
YouTube first rolls out these features to a small number of users for testing and then to the masses. It may be possible that the features that are being tested do not end up going live.
YouTube ‘Queue’ on Android, iOS
The YouTube ‘Queue’ functionality already exists on the web. It works like making a custom playlist on YouTube Music (if you have YouTube Music Premium that costs Rs 99 in India). It is to be noted that YouTube ‘Queue’ is a completely different feature from ‘Save to Watch later’ or ‘Save to playlist’ features. These allow users to permanently save a video so that they can watch them later or access them from a playlist as per their convenience.
As mentioned, YouTube ‘Queue’ is an experimental feature so you must have a Premium subscription.
How to use YouTube ‘Queue’?
– To create a queue, users can click on the three-dot menu next to any video item.
– Select ‘Play last in queue’.
– A queue will be created and it will be accessible at the bottom of the page
– On the Queue panel, users can drag to rearrange the order in which the videos will be played.
– Users can also remove videos from the queue
– Users can continue to add as many videos to the queue as they like
– Users can test the feature until January 28.
YouTube new colour bar
Recently, multiple reports suggested that YouTube is testing a subtle progress bar. Instead of red, the company is making this a White/Grey in colour. The recoloured progress bar has started to appear in India as well. Furthermore, unlike with the case of the red bar, the new bar does not indicate how much video has also been loaded.
