As per the report, MacStories confirmed that the SNES-style controllers also work with the iPad OS 16.1 and macOS Ventura. The publication also used the modern N64 controller with Apple devices. When in pairing mode, the gamepads will reportedly show up in the Bluetooth settings, just like other devices do. According to a report by AppleInsider, the gamepads can be used for Apple Arcade games and will work with supported titles in the App Store.
tvOS 16.1 update
Along with iOS 16.1, iPadOS 16 and watchOS 9.1, Apple also launched tvOS 16.1. The new software update brings a new, more compact and personalised interface for Siri and a few other features. The Siri interface remained unchanged since the arrival of Siri to Apple TV in 2015 but this tvOS update will replace it with a redesigned one.
On the update, Apple said:
“This fall, new features coming to the Apple TV experience with tvOS 16 include updates to Siri that will make it even easier for customers to use their voice to control Apple TV and interact with the results.
Siri on Apple TV features a complete redesign, and will be able to recognize each user’s voice, so they can easily access their movies, shows, music, games, and apps, and pick up where they left off. By using the Siri Remote and asking “What should I watch?” users can get tailored recommendations.”
