Last month, the platform added support for 5.1 surround sound-enabled videos on “all 2021 and later TVs, Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku and most Fire TV devices.” Google also mentioned that “many 2020 and earlier TVs may also support surround sound.”
YouTube also enables Android and iPhone users to connect to their TVs for easy commenting and sharing. Moreover, an overlay UI also helps users to search for videos while watching one in the background.
