Microsoft is increasing the monthly price of its Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions next month. The price hike seems to be effective globally, including in India.
New Xbox Game Pass pricing
In India, the current monthly subscription price of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is Rs 499 and the new price will be Rs 549. Furthermore, the price of Game Pass for Console currently sells at Rs 349 and it will be Rs 379 from next month onwards.

Microsoft may increase Xbox prices in India, here’s how much it may cost

Xbox Series X price in India is said to start at Rs 55,990 after the hike. The Xbox Series X wireless controller (Robot White) is claimed to cost Rs 300 more and it could come at a price of Rs 5,990. The wireless controller with USB-C (Black), which is priced at Rs 5,390, may cost users Rs 5,990.

There is no change in the pricing of PC Game Pass.New Xbox Game Pass members will see the new prices from July 6, The Verge reported. Those who have purchased the yearly subscription will see the increased price until they renew the subscription.
Xbox Series X price hike
Microsoft is also increasing the price of its Xbox Series X in most countries in August. According to the publication, the prices will remain the same in the US, Japan, Chile, Brazil and Colombia. There has been no official communication from the company yet.

“We’ve held on our prices for consoles for many years and have adjusted the prices to reflect the competitive conditions in each market,” Kari Perez, head of communications for Xbox, was quoted as saying.
The report also noted that Xbox Series X console pricing “will largely match the price hike Sony announced for the PS5 last year.”
The Xbox Series X price in India is currently set at Rs 49,990. The Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition is priced at Rs 54,990 in India. Microsoft, however, is not increasing the price of Xbox Series S.

Microsoft was expected to make pricing adjustments after Sony increased the price last year. Furthermore, in October last year, Xbox chief Phil Spencer hinted that pricing for subscriptions would be increased.
