WhatsApp Media Picker: WhatsApp will make it easier for users to select media for sharing – Times of India
WABetaInfo reported that WhatsApp has begun rolling out an improved media picker with numbered thumbnails for Android beta testers. The improved feature will allow users to easily keep track of the order of selected media items. To use the feature, users must install the updated version 2.23.13.6 on their smartphones.
“With this feature, users can enjoy an enhanced experience when sending images, videos, and GIFs by experimenting with numbered thumbnails that allow users to easily keep track of the selected media and their order,” mentioned the report.
WABetaInfo also shared a screenshot of the feature. Previously, users would see a basic checkmark when they selected media to send, which indicated their selection. Although this method was effective, it was difficult to remember the order in which the media items were selected, especially when a large number of items were chosen. However, the media picker has been improved in the most recent update. Now, each selected item is assigned a number that is displayed on its thumbnail. This numbering system corresponds to the order in which the media items are selected, providing users with a clear visual reference for easily tracking their selections.
WhatsApp brings edit sent message feature to Windows
WhatsApp is reportedly planning to introduce a new feature on its Windows desktop app that will allow users to edit messages that have already been sent. Users will be able to modify text messages within a 15-minute timeframe by accessing the message menu. This editing functionality will provide users with a convenient way to quickly correct errors or mistakes in their messages, eliminating the need for additional explanations or follow-up messages.
