Watch: NBA star Stephen Curry exults after making hole-in-one at celebrity golf event | Golf News – Times of India
The Golden State Warriors guard Curry, renowned as a four-time NBA champion, is widely recognized for his passion for golf, having previously participated in a developmental tour event in 2017.
During the American Century Championship at the Edgewood Tahoe South course in Stateline, Nevada, Curry accomplished his remarkable feat at the par-3 seventh hole. With a single bounce, his tee shot found its way into the hole, eliciting a joyous roar of approval from the crowd.
Overwhelmed with excitement, Curry sprinted towards the green, removing his cap and triumphantly extending his index finger in a “No. 1” gesture to the sky.
As he arrived at the green, he raised both arms in jubilation, tossing his glove to the fans. In a moment of pure elation, he leaped into the air before playfully tapping the flagstick with his left hand.
Unable to contain his exuberance, he circled the entire green, radiating happiness. Finally, he collapsed onto the ground under the cool shade of a nearby tree, wearing a big grin on his face.
“That was 140 yards and not 94 feet,” Curry said, comparing the length of the hole to that of an NBA court. “But wow. Wow. I’ll be out of breath for the rest of the day — for a good reason, though.”
Curry, who began golfing at age 10, had made only one prior ace.
“That was my second one ever,” Curry said. “I’m locked in right down, but to do it on this hole is unbelievable. Wow. Wow.”
