Alex Ellis, the British High Commissioner to India, is known for his humorous and relatable tweets about Indian culture and society. A few days ago, he asked his followers on Twitter for film recommendations to improve his Hindi skills and shared a list of movies he planned to watch. However, he accidentally misspelt ‘Sholay’ as ‘Chole’, which caused a lot of laughter on the micro-blogging platform. He recently shared another update after the spelling mistake and once again left his followers in splits.

Mr Ellis took to Twitter to share a video of himself watching Ramesh Sippy’s iconic film, Sholay. However, what caught our attention was the plate of delicious chole kulche he was enjoying while watching the movie. The video begins with the bold name of Sholay on the TV screen before the camera pans towards the food. Mr Ellis enjoyed the film alongside his dog, whom he can be seen petting towards the end of the clip. While sharing the video, Mr Ellis wrote, “Sholay + Chole = Theek Hai (All okay) #saturdaynight.” You can watch the video here:

The delightful Twitter video has received over 273K views and 1.5K likes so far. Additionally, many people have left hilarious comments after watching the video. However, some people pointed out that he should’ve paired raita with the chole instead of alcohol. One person wrote, “Watching movie style is also like Gabbar Singh!”

Another person wrote, “You’re getting good at this.”

“Amazing combo sir. Best way to enjoy the weekend,” added another.
