Watch: Anand Mahindra Shows How Idli Is Made In A Factory. Twitter Reacts
Idli is undoubtedly one of the most loved breakfast options in India. Easy to make, soft and fluffy, it can be enjoyed plain, with chutney, piping hot sambar, or even other curries. Idlis are easy to digest and are low in calories, which makes them a healthy food. While most people visit a nearby restaurant to savour idlis or prefer making their own at home, some food joints make them in large quantities using effective idli-making skills. Recently, industrialist Anand Mahindra shared one such video that shows a man making idlis on a mass scale with much precision and skill.

Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to share a video of the idli-making factory. In the clip, we can see a man oiling stacks of idli trays with the help of a spray. He then pours the batter and places the trays in large steamers. As the video progresses, we can see him demolding the idlis. The video also shows the man feeding some idlis to the cow. Reacting to the video, Mahindra wrote, “On the one hand you have ‘Idli-Amma’ who makes her idlis laboriously and slowly. On the other hand, you have some tools of mass manufacturing used to make idlis on scale! But don’t miss the human touch that will ALWAYS be Indian: the short break taken to share some ‘idli-love’ with the bovine member of the family!” Check out the full video here:
