Vivo X100 and X100 Pro confirmed to launch globally on December 14

After making it to the Chinese market, Vivo X100 and X100 Pro appears to be launching globally too on December 14. Vivo officially confirmed the launch date on its global website with a dedicated event page for X100 and X100 Pro. It also revealed information on the pre-orders that reportedly began on November 24.

Reports suggests it seems like Vivo posted inaccurate date for pre-orders since Vivo hasn’t officially confirmed any dates for the upcoming X100 series yet. In any case, we will get to see more about the Vivo X100 series in the coming days given the fact the launch is just this Thursday.

Vivo X100 Series Specifications

As the duo – Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, have arrived in the Chinese market, we are aware of what they’ll bring onboard if everything remains the same.

Dimensity 9300 on Vivo X100 Pro throttles 46% in less than 2 minutes

Vivo X100 and X100 Pro sports a 6.78” AMOLED 1.5K resolution HDR10+ 120Hz punch-hole display that houses a 32MP shooter. Both the devices are surprisingly IP68 rated for dust and water protection which by far succeeds what OnePlus 12 and Realme GT5 Pro brought onboard a few days ago.

Moving on, both the devices host a 50MP primary plus 50MP ultrawide sensor at the helm. The only distinction is with the third camera where the regular non-Pro variant uses a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. On the other hand, the Pro uses a 50MP telephoto lens flanled with 4.3x optical and 100x digital zoom which is great for photography although the more you zoom, the more quality deteriorates as a general rule of thumb.

Both the phones are powered by Dimensity 9300 SoC from MediaTek that recently caught attention as it was throttled by 46% in just 2 minutes of stress test. There’s up to 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage onboard.

We have a 5000mAh battery on the non-Pro flanked with 120W wired charging. The Pro gets a 5,400mAh battery while adding a 50W wireless charging feature and 100W wired charging (down from 120W on non-Pro).
