Vijaya Hospital adopts Dozee’s AI-based contactless remote patient monitoring technology and EWS – ET HealthWorld
Chennai: In its bid to improve clinical outcomes with continuous patient monitoring, Vijaya Hospital in Chennai, has announced the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI)-based contactless remote patient monitoring (RPM) and an early warning system (EWS) known as Dozee.
According to a press statement, Dozee enables healthcare workers to remotely monitor patient vitals such as respiration rate, heart rate, SPO2 levels, blood pressure, and temperature while keeping track of their sleeping patterns.
Further added that Dozee’s early warning system can immediately alert nurses and doctors if a patient’s condition starts becoming critical, allowing for timely interventions. It also saves the daily hours that nurses spend on manual routine check-ups of patient vitals and instead aims to provide additional time for the nurses for more bedside patient care.
Commenting that Dozee’s solution will improve patient safety and care by allowing doctors and healthcare professionals to monitor patients remotely, B. Bharathi Reddy, Managing Trustee and CEO, Vijaya Medical and Educational Trust, said, “Dozee’s AI-based RPM and EWS will help us achieve this by providing continuous remote monitoring of patients and early warning of any deterioration in their condition. We are confident that this will help us improve clinical outcomes and provide our patients with the best possible care. Dozee’s adoption will transform the way patient care is delivered, and we are excited to be at the forefront of this transformation.”
Emphasising that the company works hand-in-hand with healthcare professionals to create an interconnected system that boosts patient safety, optimises nursing efficiency, and offers superior clinical results, Gaurav Parchani, CTO and Co-founder, Dozee, said, “We are delighted to partner with the Vijaya Hospital Group—a forerunner institution renowned for its longstanding quality healthcare delivery. Thus, incorporating continuous monitoring systems and early warning systems are vital pieces in the journey of quality healthcare for all.”
