Vicky Kaushal recalls his parents’ reaction when he told them he wanted to marry Katrina Kaif

Actor Vicky Kaushal has spoken about his parents–father Sham Kaushal and mother Veena Kaushal’s reaction when he told them that he wanted to marry actor Katrina Kaif. In a new interview, Vicky said that they are ‘extremely fond and in love with’ Katrina. Vicky also said that Sham and Veena were very happy when he told them. Vicky and Katrina Kaif tied the knot on December 9 last year in Rajasthan in the presence of close friends and family members. They hosted grand wedding celebrations at Six Senses Fort Barwara from December 7-9. The ceremonies included mehendi, haldi, sangeet, and the wedding.

In an interview with Filmfare, Vicky said, “They were very happy. They are extremely fond of her. They’re extremely in love with the person that she is. I think when there’s goodness in your heart, it always just reflects in everything that you do and everything that you are.” When asked if he remembers the first time he fell in love with Katrina, he said he does and added that it is ”extremely private and special to me”.

Talking about his married life, the actor said, “It’s been beautiful. It’s been like the best chapter of my life. It’s the most wonderful feeling to have a companion with whom you connect, who understands you and who you understand thoroughly. Because it puts you in a peaceful, blissful state of mind that makes you feel loved all the time. And when you feel loved, you feel like giving love not just at home but outside the house as well. It just brings out the best version of yourself.”

Katrina was recently seen in the horror comedy film Phone Bhoot alongside Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She will be next seen in an action thriller film Tiger 3 opposite Salman Khan. She also has Merry Christmas alongside Vijay Sethupathi.

Vicky was last seen in Govinda Naam Mera opposite Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, the film streamed exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar on December 16. Apart from that, he also has Laxman Utekar’s next untitled film and Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur.
