The next Apple iPhone SE may sport 6.1-inch LCD display – Times of India

Apple launched the latest iPhone 14 series of smartphones last month. Now it appears that the Cupertino-based tech giant has started working on the 4th generation iPhone SE smartphone.
Leaks and rumours around the smartphone have started surfacing online. A new online leak reveals that the fourth generation iPhone SE may sport a 6.1-inch LCD display with a notch placed in the center.
As reported by MacRumours, Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young has revealed that the next iPhone SE smartphone may house a 6.1-inch LCD notch screen display. He further adds that Apple may launch the smartphone in 2024. Young also suggests that there are chances that Apple may include the Dynamic Island feature in the upcoming iPhone SE. The Dynamic Island feature will be present in all the main iPhone models available at that time, so there are chances that the fourth-generation iPhone SE may come with the feature.
Young also reveals that it is quite unlikely that the yet-to-launch iPhone SE model will come with FaceID. There are chances that the company may not include the Face ID and may continue with the Touch ID.
Another online report suggests that iPhone SE 4 will look like iPhone XR. This also means that Apple will finally ditch the old form factor of the iPhone 8, the thick bezels and the good old Home button will be removed from the upcoming iPhone SE 4.
In terms of chipset, the iPhone SE has always received the best Apple has to offer. For instance, the ongoing model of iPhone SE is powered by Apple A15 Bionic chipset which also powers the iPhone 15 series. However, as per the rumours going around about the upcoming iPhone 14 remaining on the previous-generation chip, it is unlikely that Apple will offer the latest chip with the rumoured iPhone SE 4.
