The Last of Us Part 1 Remake has gone gold, says Naughty Dog

Naughty Dog has tweeted, “Thrilled to announce The Last of Us Part I has gone gold!” The game is now almost ready to launch for the PS5 in the next couple of months. The Last of Us Part 1 is also in development for PC, which is set to release later. The Last of Us Part 1 brings upgraded visuals and gameplay systems with enhanced controls. The remake will also use PS5’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller. The game will most likely offer 4K gameplay at 60 FPS and 120 FPS gameplay at a lower resolution alongside ray tracing.

The Last of Us Part 1 announcement has been criticized by fans and it has been labelled as a “cash grab.” However, Robert Morrison, an animator who worked on the game, has respondent to these comments. Morrison said, “It’s the most meticulously built and crafted project that I have ever seen or been a part of in my entire career. The highest level of care and attention to detail possible.” Morrison added, “The price of the game is out of my control and worth is subjective to each individual. You can decide for yourself if you want it or not.”
