The Last of Us Part 1 PC port has many performance issues at launch | 91mobiles.com
In Steam reviews, players have mostly complained about the game crashing frequently. One of the players said, “Terrible optimization. Game takes more than 8 gigs of VRAM on medium settings, 100% CPU utilization in menu. And the temps are really high too. Probably going to refund soon.” While another said, “Game crashes a lot. Unplayable.” Developer Naughty Dog has responded to The Last of Us Part 1 PC port criticism on Twitter.

Naughty Dog said, “The Last of Us Part I PC players: we’ve heard your concerns, and our team is actively investigating multiple issues you’ve reported. We will continue to update you, but our team is prioritizing updates and will address issues in upcoming patches.” Currently, it’s unclear when these issues will be fixed. Previous PlayStation PC releases such as God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, and others have been really great, with little to no performance issues at launch. Since Naughty Dog has assured players that the issues are being investigated, it is safe to assume that the developer will roll out a patch to address them.
