By Michael Elkins

Over the past year, Tesla’s (NASDAQ:) CEO, Elon Musk, expressed his desire to move away from the company’s model that results in large delivery pushes at the end of the quarter. This 3Q was expected to be more manageable. However, an email obtained by Electrek shows that the electric vehicle maker is anticipating another “high volume” end to the quarter. In order to accomplish the end of quarter delivery push, Tesla is asking for help from employees.

The email reads: “We will be delivering a very high volume of vehicles to eagerly waiting customers during the final days of Q3. To help ensure we can delight as many customers as possible, the delivery team is requesting additional support with key delivery-execution tasks.”

In the past, Tesla had everyone from engineers, managers, and even executives come down to delivery centers to help with tasks during end-of-quarter delivery pushes. The tasks might include moving vehicles, washing and preparing vehicles, and even delivering the vehicles to customers.

Analysts are predicting a record quarter for the company, with most estimates showing between 350,000 and 370,000 delivered units. Tesla’s previous record of ~310,000 units came in 1Q of 2022.

Tesla is expected to report its delivery and production numbers over the weekend.

Shares of TSLA are up 2.13% in pre-market trading Tuesday.
