Set in the Star Wars universe, Ahsoka now has its first teaser trailer along with a season announcement by the producers at an event in London. The series comes as a spinoff of superhit series The Mandalorian, and will run interconnectedly with the show. Here are all the details.

Ahsoka is the latest live-action Star Wars series that will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar in India in August 2023, with no official release date out just yet. The series will also be available in Hindi language. Set after the events of Return of the Jedi, the series follows Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi Padawan, as she journeys across the galaxy, searching for allies to aid her in her fight against the remnants of the Galactic Empire. The role of Ahsoka Tano will be portrayed by Rosario Dawson, who was last seen in The Mandalorian in the same role.
According to Disney, she will confront her past and face new challenges, including the emergence of a dangerous new enemy, the Magistrate, and her loyal enforcer, the deadly assassin, known as the “Dark One”, in the series.
Notably, the character of Ahsoka was first introduced in the animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars back in 2008. Given the intriguing personality of the character and the audience interest, Disney has made the decision to give Ahsoka a spinoff series, besides an upcoming one on Boba Fett.
Talking at the Ahsoka trailer launch, during the Star Wars Celebration that happened in London on April 7th, were Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Favreau, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo. The top showrunners of Disney were on stage to share the details on this much-anticipated series in the Star Wars universe.
