Sony launches LinkBuds truly wireless earbuds with open air design – Times of India
Sony LinkBuds are the company’s latest addition to the truly wireless earbuds product portfolio. The earbuds come with a unique open air design with donut-shaped earpiece. It comes with Bluetooth version 5.2 for connectivity and is claimed to deliver a battery life of up to 17.5 hours.

Sony LinkBuds carries a price tag of $178 which roughly translates to Rs 13,400. The device is offered in Black and White colour options.

Sony LinkBuds weigh four grams (approximately) and are said to have a comfort design. Similar to the AirPods 3, the earpieces have no foam or silicon tips and fit directly into the ear. The device has an open ring driver which allows users to listen to music and the ambient noise to stay connected with the surroundings.
Another feature of the new earbuds is the in-call noise cancellation for minimal distractions during calls. It comes equipped with Integrated Processor V1 with a 12mm ring driver and Sony’ Digital Sound Enhancement Engine.
Sony LinkBuds offer Wide Area Tap feature that allows users to control the earbuds without actually touching them. Users can double or triple tap the area in front of either ear to control the music playback on the LinkBuds. Speak to chat and Adaptive Volume Control are other features available on the new Sony earbuds.
The earbuds also offer support for Google Assistant and Alexa. It is also equipped with Google Fast Pair to instantly link with Android phones.
Sony LinkBuds come with splash-proof and sweat-proof design. It is IPX4 rated. Battery life of the device is said to be up to 5.5 hours after single charge and up to 17.5 hours with the charging case. The earbuds also come with quick charging and can deliver up to 90 minutes of playback after just a 10 minute charge.
