Sonam Kapoor waves to fans as she returns home with her baby; Anil Kapoor and Anand Ahuja distribute sweets to paparazzi

Actor Sonam Kapoor, who gave birth to her first child on August 20, was discharged from the hospital on Friday. The actor arrived with her newborn son and husband-businessman Anand Ahuja at her father, actor Anil Kapoor’s Mumbai residence. A few moments later, Sonam joined them and took part in rituals as the family welcomed them. As the paparazzi called her name, Sonam turned around, smiled and waved to them. The new parents twinned in white outfits as they reached Anil’s home from the hospital.

After some time, Anil and Anand stepped out of the house and distributed sweets to the paparazzi and the police stationed outside their home. Anil greeted people with folded hands as they congratulated him on becoming a grandfather. He also shook hands with the police officers outside his home.

Sonam and Anand welcomed their first child a baby boy on August 20. They shared the news on Instagram with their fans through a cute message template. It read, “On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and open hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It’s only the beginning, but we know our lives are forever changed – Sonam and Anand.”

The couple tied the knot on May 8, 2018 in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony. In March 2022, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child together. Recently, they also travelled to Italy for their babymoon.

Earlier this week, Sonam’s sister-film producer Rhea Kapoor dropped the first glimpse of Sonam’s baby. On Instagram, Rhea shared a string of pictures which she captioned, “Rhea masi is not ok. The cuteness is too much. The moment is unreal. I love you @sonamkapoor the bravest mommy and @anandahuja the most loving dad. Special mention new nani @kapoor.sunita #mynephew #everydayphenomenal.”

Sonam will be next seen in the upcoming film Blind directed by Shome Makhija. The film stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey in prominent roles.
