Sonam Kapoor stepped out for a party at Karan Johar’s Mumbai restaurant on Saturday. The actor wore a blue dress for the bash that was also attended by Rhea Kapoor, Aryan Khan, Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor, among others. On Sunday, Sonam took to Instagram to share photos of her party look, in which she posed inside actor-father Anil Kapoor’s lavish Mumbai home. Sonam Kapoor sat on a white wing chair in front of giant glass doors as she posed looking into the camera in one of the photos. She showed off an ornate mirror in another one. The actor twirled on a cream and black carpet in two of the pictures giving a better look at her blue dress. Her dress also featured fringes at the bottom and on the sleeves.

Reacting to Sonam’s photos, many fans left comments like ‘beautiful’ and ‘stunning’. While one person called Sonam ‘queen’, another one wrote, “Fashion icon is back.” A person wrote about her dress ‘so long’. Another one wanted to know what the actor was wearing, “Is that a dress, stole or a chaddar (bedsheet)? I can’t unsee.” Another one commented, “Bed ki sheet hi daal li apne toh madam ji (you wore a bedsheet, it seems).”

Sonam and Anand Ahuja welcomed their first child together – son Vayu Kapoor Ahuja – on August 20. They had announced their son’s name via an Instagram post, a month after his birth. The actor was recently in Delhi to attend her first public event since giving birth. Sonam had announced her pregnancy on March 21 by sharing a photo of herself and Anand from their maternity photoshoot.

Sonam has been sharing her journey as a new mom on social media. The actor had recently taken to Instagram Stories to share details of her delivery, and her post-natal routine since Vayu Kapoor Ahuja’s birth. The actor had said that she had a ‘quick birth’, and has been ‘breastfeeding easily’. The new mom also shared the steps she took to ensure she had no stretchmarks.
