Smriti Mandhana moves up to 6th, Harmanpreet Kaur drops to 8th in ICC Women’s ODI rankings | Cricket News – Times of India
Mandhana now has 704 rating points, while Harmanpreet, who moved two spots down, has 702.
Among the Indian players, left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad holds the ninth position in the bowlers’ rankings, while all-rounder Deepti Sharma occupies the seventh spot in the all-rounders’ rankings. Both players have moved down a spot in their respective categories.
Meanwhile, Australia’s Beth Mooney has reclaimed the top spot in the ODI batters rankings, displacing Sri Lankan Chamari Athapaththu, whose reign lasted for only two weeks.
Mooney’s impressive performances in the first two ODIs against England, with scores of 81 not out and 33, contributed to Australia’s Ashes victory in the second match of the series.
England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt has moved up two spots to No. 2, closely following Mooney. Sciver-Brunt achieved a career-best rating of 763 and has been effective with both bat and ball. She played a crucial role in England’s victory in the first ODI, where she notched two wickets.
Sciver-Brunt’s outstanding all-round performances have also propelled her to the top of the all-rounders’ rankings in ODIs, with a career-best rating of 402. Her contributions with both bat and ball have been instrumental in her rise to the pinnacle of the all-rounders’ rankings once again.
Heather Knight played the finisher’s role to perfection in the first ODI, taking her team home with an unbeaten 75 while batting with the lower order. The England captain has been rewarded with a four-place jump to No.14 in the batters’ rankings, where she sits equal with New Zealand’s Sophie Devine.
Australia ace all-rounder Ash Gardner continued to shine with brilliant outings with bat and ball. With a combined 54 runs and three wickets in each of the first two ODIs, Gardner has surged to career-best ratings in the list for bowlers’ (up four places to No.8 with 631 rating points) and all-rounders (up two places to No.5 with 330 rating points).
