Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Flip5 5G at a starting price of $999. The handset comes in Mint, Graphite, Cream, Gray, Blue, Green, Yellow and Lavender (Samsung.com exclusive) colour options.
Galaxy Z Flip5: Specifications
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 features 3.5-inch Super AMOLED cover display with 60Hz refresh rate. The handset unfolds to reveal the 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display with 2640 x 1080 pixels resolution and 22:9 display. It’s a 120Hz refresh rate panel and supports an adaptive refresh rate. Both front and the foldable display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is backed by a 3700mAh battery and it supports Super Fast charging which claims to deliver up to 50 per cent charge in under 30 minutes. The smartphone runs One UI 5.1 based on the Android 13 operating system.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is IPX8 water resistant and features a Capacitive Fingerprint sensor(side).
Galaxy Z Flip5: Camera
Samsung has made several improvements to the camera of the phone. Though on specs front, the 12MP + 12MP dual camera setup may look the same, but the handset offers improvements in terms of features and functionality. According to the company, the phone now lets users capture high-quality selfie photos using the FlexCam mode.
There’s this new Dual Preview option that lets users see themselves in the Flex Windows so that they can make the adjustments to get better photos. The camera features Nightography, digital 10x zoom and all the other regular shooting modes like Auto, Portrait mode, etc. The handset is equipped with a 10MP shooter at the primary display.
