Asus ROG India has tweeted about their upcoming product, the ROG Ally, with a teaser image and the message “Get ready for gaming that never stops.”
Asus ROG Ally: Price, availability in India (expected)
The ROG Ally, with a Ryzen Z1 chip (12GB/256GB), is sold at $600, which converts to approximately Rs 49,300, in the US. The Z1 Extreme model (16GB/512GB) comes at $700, around Rs 57,300.next month. We can expect the ROG Ally to be priced similarly in India.
Asus has not revealed the launch date for its handheld gaming console, but we can expect it to be released in India in the next few weeks.

The ROG Ally features a 7-inch IPS LCD display with FHD resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display boasts a brightness of up to 500 nits and covers 100% of the sRGB colour space. To ensure durability, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.
There are two versions of the ROG Ally available – the AMD Ryzen Z1 and the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. Both models come with 16GB of LPDDR5 dual-channel memory and 256GB or 512GB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD. The Z1 has a six-core Zen with twelve threads and four RDNA 3 cores for the GPU. Meanwhile, the Z1 Extreme version has an eight-core Zen with sixteen threads and twelve RDNA cores with a 24MB cache.
The device runs on a 40Wh battery pack and comes with a 65W PD charger. It is equipped with dual fans and a copper heat pipe to ensure improved cooling. The ROG Ally is made of aluminium, weighs 608 grams, and measures 280 x 111 x 21.2mm.
This device operates on a full-fledged Windows 11 Home with a special edition of Asus Armoury Crate. Asus is offering a three-month Xbox Game Pass trial which allows users to play games from any other major game launcher and game streaming services.
The ROG Ally features two analog thumb sticks with capacitive touch and RGB lighting, a D-pad, A B X Y buttons, left and right Hall Effect triggers and bumpers, and two assignable grip buttons on the back. Additionally, the console features six-axis gyro support and is equipped with command centre and view buttons on the left, and menu and Armoury Crate buttons on the right of the screen.
In terms of I/O, the ROG Ally offers a Type-C combo port with USB 3.2 Gen2 support, a port for connecting external GPUs, a microSD card slot supporting up to UHS-II cards, and a headphone/mic combo jack. The console also features dual-firing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
