US-based video game maker Rockstar Games might be planning something new for the popular open-world game Red Dead Redemption (RDR) as the franchise approaches its 12th anniversary. The latest installment from the franchise, Red Dead Redemption 2, has been a great hit among both fans and critics alike. However, the online version of the same game still seems like it is suffering from a few issues.
A new report has revealed some insight into what’s next for the RDR franchise. Rockstar is planning to add two new games under this franchise — the remake of the original Red Dead Redemption and the RDR 2 next-gen games– according to a report by ComicBook.com.

The report mentions that a next-gen edition of the Red Dead Redemption 2 game has been under development for several months. However, Rockstar has not revealed any information about the next-gen version of the game as the announcement got delayed for another big project that is also under development at the studio.
As mentioned above, the other game that is being developed is the remake of the first Red Dead Redemption game. The report also confirms that the remake of the original game will not be renamed ‘Outlaws Collection’.
While the report mentions two new titles in the Read Dead Redemption franchise, Rockstar is yet to confirm any of the information mentioned above. However, the publisher is expected to announce the upcoming games very soon.
