Reliance rolls out 5G services in Chardham temple premises: All details – Times of India

After expanding its 5G services to 398 cities, Reliance Jio has now announced the roll out of Jio True 5G in Chardham temple premises in Uttrakhand. This roll out will enable all Jio True 5G users from across the country visiting Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri dhams to latch on to Jio’s True 5G network.
Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, said in a message “Reliance Jio has started its 5G services in Chardham Temple premises of Uttarakhand. I congratulate and thank Jio for bringing in transformational changes in the digital landscape of the state and commencing 5G services right at the beginning of yatra. This facility will allow millions of pilgrims to take advantage of high-speed data network. With the successful 5G launch in Chardham, Jio has lived up to its commitment to provide 5G services not only in the main towns but also to the religiously important places of the state. Also, with the help of Jio’s strong data network, during Chardham Yatra, disaster management, surveillance and monitoring of yatra can be done on a real time basis.”
Reliance Jio True 5G offer
Reliance Jio has also introduced a Jio Welcome offer for customers in the Chardham premises. The Jio users in the above mentioned location can now experience Unlimited Data at up to 1Gbps+ speed, at no additional costs. The company claims that with Jio True 5G, Jio users can experience speeds between 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps on their 5G-enabled smartphones.
Jio’s network coverage extends across Uttarakhand state, from the capital city of Dehradun to the remote Indian village of Mana near the Indo-Tibet border. It is the sole operator in the state and has a presence at all of the Chardhams, along the Shri Kedarnath Dham trek route, and at the Shri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, located at a height of 13,650 meters.
