Redmi 9 Power gets a price cut in India, new price of the big-battery phone – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Xiaomi has made its Redmi 9 series budget smartphone more affordable. The company has slashed the price of its last year launched — Redmi 9 Power smartphone.
Redmi 9 Power comes in three variants — 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB. However, the company has slashed the price of only the base variant — 4GB+64GB. Launched at Rs 10,999, the 4GB+64GB variant of Redmi 9 Power has witnessed a price drop of Rs 500. The customers can now purchase the smartphone at Rs 10,499. The new price is already reflecting on the company website and on Amazon.in.
Buyers can purchase the smartphone in Electric Green, Fiery Red, Mighty Black and Blazing Blue.
Redmi 9 Power specifications
Redmi 9 Power is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone packs 64GB internal storage which can be expanded further by installing a microSD card.
The smartphone sports a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The dual SIM smartphone runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own MIUi 12.
Redmi 9 Power features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and IR blaster. The smartphone comes with P2i coating which makes it splash resistant.
The smartphone sports a quad-rear camera setup which comprises a 48MP main sensor with f/1.79 aperture and LED flash, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front is home to an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
The device is backed by a 6000mAh battery with 18E fast charging support.
