Preity Zinta, husband Gene Goodenough take kids Jai and Gia to Hateshwari Mata temple in Shimla. Watch video

Preity Zinta has shared pictures and videos from her recent visit to Hateshwari Mata temple in Shimla. She went there with husband Gene Goodenough, their children Jeh and Gia and other members of their family. Preity wore a yellow suit for the temple visit and covered her head with a golden dupatta. Gene wore a black shirt with black pants. They also carried their two kids in their arms and took them inside the temple to participate in rituals.

Sharing the post on Twitter, Preity wrote, “When I was a little girl I often visited the Hateshwari Mata temple in Hatkoti, Shimla – Himachal Pradesh. This temple has played a big role in my childhood & I’ve always felt very connected to it. Now that I’m a mother its only natural that the first temple my kids visited was this incredible & ancient temple. Here’s a sneak peek of our visit. I’m sure Jai & Gia will not remember this trip so we will have to come back again because mother will call me again. Jai Ma Durga – Jai Mahisasurmardini. If any of you get a chance to visit do not miss it. It’s magical, mysterious & stunning beautiful & yes you can thank me later.”

Preity and Gene Goodenough tied the knot on February 29, 2016 in Los Angeles. The duo became parents to twins in 2021.

Announcing the birth of her children via surrogacy, Preity in 2021 wrote, “Hi everyone, I wanted to share our amazing news with all of you today. Gene and I are overjoyed and our hearts are filled with so much gratitude and with so much love as we welcome our twins Jai Zinta Goodenough and Gia Zinta Goodenough into our family.”

Preity was recently vocal about her children’s safety. Last month, she took to social media to post a long note about the alleged harassment that her kid faced in Mumbai.

Citing the incident, Preity wrote, “The incident was regarding my daughter Gia-where a woman tried to take her photo. When we politely asked her not to she walked away, then suddenly scooped my daughter in her arms and planted a big wet kiss next to her mouth & ran off saying what a cute baby. This woman lives in an elite building & happened to be in the garden where my kids were playing. If I wasn’t a celebrity I probably would have reacted badly but kept my cool as I didn’t want to make a scene.”
