POCO C31 is the name of the upcoming smartphone in India, the brand confirmed. POCO had earlier teased the launch of a new POCO phone in the country during the upcoming Flipkart Big Billion Days sale without revealing the device. Now, we have a dedicated microsite on Flipkart which reveals that the POCO C31 will launch on Thursday, September 30th. The teaser page also gives us our first look at the new POCO phone. As part of the C series, the POCO C31 is expected to come with a budget price tag.

POCO C31 India launch teased

The Flipkart page doesn’t tell us much about the POCO C31 specifications apart from the fact that it will come with a waterdrop notch, a long-lasting battery, and reinforced corners for better durability. POCO claims the POCO C31 delivers a 25 percent longer lifespan compared to market standard, with the phone remaining “as good as new even after 2.5 years of daily usage”.

The POCO C31 price in India will be revealed on September 30th. During the launch event, the company will also reveal the first sale date of the device. You can expect the POCO C31 to go on sale during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, which begins on October 3rd.

The POCO C31 will join the POCO C3 in India. The latter was launched in India last year in October with a starting price of Rs 7,499. The POCO C3 has since received a Rs 500 price hike and is currently selling for Rs 7,999. During the upcoming Flipkart sale, the POCO C3 price in India will be discounted to Rs 6,999. This leaves the Rs 7,999 slot free for the POCO C31, but we’re merely speculating the price right now.

POCO C3 offers a 6.53-inch HD+ waterdrop display. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. In the camera department, the POCO C3 features a triple rear camera system that includes a 13MP primary sensor and two 2MP cameras. At the front, there’s a 5MP camera for selfies. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery.
