Smartphones launching in the first week of January
1. Xiaomi 11i, Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge
The Xiaomi 11i series of smartphones will launch in India on January 6th, 2022. While the company has not explicitly confirmed whether the vanilla Xiaomi 11i will be launching, it has revealed that the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge is coming with 120W fast charging. Plus, the brand has been promoting the launch as ‘Xiaomi 11i Series launch’, so it is safe to assume that the vanilla Xiaomi 11i will launch alongside.
The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, if reports are to be believed, is going to be a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro+, which launched a little while ago in China. If that’s indeed the case, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, which will be paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS3.1 storage.
Coming to the cameras of the device, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge will make room for a triple rear camera setup – a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge will feature a 4,500mAh battery with support for a whopping 120W fast charging.
2. Realme GT 2 lineup
Realme GT 2 series will feature a number of industry-firsts and will launch in China on January 4th, 2022. On the same date, the lineup will make its global debut. The Realme GT 2 Pro will feature a paper-like design and will come with a 150-degree super wide-angle camera. Alongside the Realme GT 2 Pro, the brand is also said to launch the vanilla Realme GT 2 and a camera-centric Realme GT 2 Pro.
Coming to the specifications of the Realme GT 2 Pro, the device will offer a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 1,440 x 3,216 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the Realme GT 2 Pro will be an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which will be paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB internal storage. For photography, the Realme GT 2 Pro will sport a triple rear camera setup – 50MP + 50MP + 2MP and at the front, the device will have a 32MP selfie shooter. In the battery department, the Realme GT 2 Pro will sport a 5,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
3. Vivo V23 series
The Vivo V23 series will launch in India on January 5th. The lineup will initially comprise of two devices – Vivo V23 5G and Vivo V23 Pro 5G. Both devices will feature a unique colour-changing rear panel. The Vivo V23 Pro will sport a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, while the vanilla variant is expected to come with a Dimensity 920 processor. Both devices will make room for a dual selfie camera setup. The Vivo V23 Pro will make room for a 108MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear camera setup and a 50MP + 8MP selfie camera setup. While the Pro variant will make room for a 4,300mAh battery, the vanilla counterpart will come with a slightly smaller 4,200mAh battery. 4. iQOO 9 series
Last on the list is the iQOO 9 series of smartphones. The lineup will feature two devices – the standard iQOO 9 and the iQOO 9 Pro, which are set to launch on January 5th, 2022. The iQOO 9 series of smartphones are said to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The devices will feature a 120Hz refresh rate 2K AMOLED panels. The brand is also said to incorporate its second-generation independent display chips on the iQOO 9 series of smartphones. The iQOO 9 Pro will likely make room for a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 150-degree field of view. Lastly, both devices are said to feature a 4,700mAh battery.
