Oshi no Ko season 1 finale was released on July 28. Previously, episode 10 ended with Kana Arima ready to walk on stage for the new B-Komachi’s debut concert at the Japan Idol Festival. Episode 11, titled ‘Idol’, covered the First Concert arc that Oshi no Ko fans were eagerly waiting for. Kana Arima, Ruby Hoshino, and Mem-cho finally take the stage!

The episode delivered B-Komachi’s mesmerising performance and set the stage for the recently announced second season of the anime. But the true showstopper was Aqua’s adorable and impactful stunt.

As the girls danced, Kana realised that she was being overshadowed, leading to her anxiety reappearing on stage. But the Hoshino siblings were there to support the young starlet. While onstage, Ruby kept sending reassuring signals when she noticed Kana’s confidence faltering.

But Aqua’s comical fan dance was the most efficient at cheering Kana. Armed with the three idols’ pen lights, Aqua launched into enthusiastic dance moves while maintaining a perfect poker face. The ridiculous stunt hyped up all the girls and Kana continued her performance with a newfound vigour.

Towards the end, the episode set the stage for Oshi no Ko season 2. It seems like the next season will feature the rivalry between Kana Arima and Akane Kurokawa. Both the actresses, along with Aqua, have been cast in the same show. The two girls must face their insecurities as they try to establish their superiority over the other. Alongside, Aqua’s revenge plan continues while he investigates Ai Hoshino’s past and attempts to gain a deeper insight into her murder.

While the first season’s finale was thoroughly enjoyed with its catchy music and lovable characters, many believe the episode was a weak ending to the season. It failed to leave the anime on an exhilarating high note. However, it succeeded in creating suspense for the audience who can’t wait for Oshi no Ko season 2!
