oppo: Oppo smartphones to get Android updates, confirms company – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Oppo has already confirmed that it will launch the ColorOS 12 globally at an online event scheduled for 11th October. At the same event, the company will also reveal the timeline for the roll out of ColorOS 12 on Oppo smartphones. Along with this, Oppo has also announced a major update policy for the Oppo smartphones that were launched after 2019.
The company has now promised three major Android OS updates for its flagship Find X series. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno and F series of smartphones will get two major Android OS updates. And the Oppo A series will get one major Android software update.
Apart from the OS update, the smartphone maker has also confirmed four years of regular security patches for the Find X, Reno and F series. Whereas, the Oppo A series of smartphones will get three years of regular security patches.
For those unaware, Oppo launched the Android 12-based ColorOS 12 in China last month. The company claims that ColorOS 12 will offer an unburdened experience with smart technology. The new UI layer comes with new design and enhanced privacy and security features. The new ColorOS 12 comes with a brand-new style acrylic icon, borderless design and new interface frame.
The latest OS skin from Oppo comes with a responsive design system and grid layout. ColorOS 12 offers quick-view cards or widgets. With the new OS skin users can now add widget components they need like smart car search, nearby shops, IoT equipment and other.
