On July 5, OnePlus will hold its Summer Launch event, unveiling the OnePlus Nord CE 3, OnePlus Nord 3, and OnePlus Nord Buds 2R. Ahead of the event, OnePlus has shared teaser images on its website, revealing the colour option, processor, and display specifications of the OnePlus Nord CE 3.
OnePlus confirmed that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 782G chipset will power the Nord CE 3 Lite. The Snapdragon 782G is an upgrade to last year’s Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. This octa-core processor has a clock speed of up to 2.7Ghz and includes connectivity features such as the Snapdragon X53 5G modem, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 standards. Additionally, the Adreno 642L GPU helps the processor achieve a 10 percent faster performance compared to its predecessor. The 6nm chipset is produced using TSMC’s N6 fabrication process, which should result in better efficiency.
The Nord CE 3 will come in Aqua Surge colourway, but there could be other colour options as well, which is rumoured to be Grey Shimmer.
OnePlus’ Nord CE 3 looks to have a similar design as the older OnePlus Nord 3, with three cameras on the back. The smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The camera setup might include a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view, a 2MP macro sensor for close-up shots, and a 16MP front-facing camera, which is perfect for selfies.
The smartphone is rumoured to come with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and run OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13. The Nord CE 3 could pack in a 5000mAh battery with support for 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
Alongside the Nord CE 3, OnePlus will also be launching OnePlus Nord 3, which will have a 120Hz AMOLED display, 50MP main camera with OIS, and is expected to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset.
