Nvidia announces RTX 4070 GPU in India: All the details – Times of India
Nvidia has announced a new model in the 40 series of desktop GPUs – the RTX 4070. The GPU joins the RTX 4070 Ti, which launched back in January. Despite being the most affordable GPU of the series, the RTX 4070 uses the same 4nm process of TSMC and is based on the Ada Lovelace architecture, with support for DLSS 3.
Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU: Price, availability in India
Nvidia’s RTX 4070 GPU is available for purchase in India, starting at Rs 62,999. The Founders Edition will be available through select retailers, and customers can also purchase the GPU through Asus, GigaByte, MSI, Zotac, and more.
Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU: Features, specifications, and more
The RTX 4070 runs on a trimmed-down AD104 GPU, which is based on the Ada Lovelace architecture. Compared to the RTX 4070 Ti, the RTX 4070 has 5888 CUDA cores and a boost frequency of up to 2475MHz, than 7680 CUDA cores and 2610MHz boost frequency. The GPU features 12GB of GDDR6X memory, having a 192-bit bus, 21Gbps speed, and bandwidth of 504GBps.
With DLSS 3, the RTX 4070 is 1.7x faster than the RTX 3070. The RTX 4070 has a total power of 200W, averaging at 186W while gaming. Also, it consumes 23% less power compared to its predecessors.
The GPU comes with support for a 4K display at 240Hz and 8K at 60Hz. Further, there is also support for DSC and HDR. The GPU comes with Dual AV1 video encoders, which allows for up to 20% faster export speeds.
Nvidia’s RTX 4070 comes with third-gen RT cores and fourth-gen Tensor cores, enabling shader execution rendering and frame generation. Furthermore, there is also support for the RTX Video Super Resolution feature, which improves the quality of 1080P videos on a higher-resolution display.
