Nokia G22 specifications revealed via Geekbench ahead of launch

The Nokia G22 will be the successor of the Nokia G21, which was launched with a 90Hz refresh rate and 50MP triple rear camera setup at a starting price of Rs 12,999 last year. The upcoming Nokia G22 has no launch date yet; however, some of its specifications have been revealed via Geekbench.

The Nokia G22 managed to achieve 308 points in the single-core test results of the Geekbench test and 1094 points in the multi-core test results. Considering its specifications, this is a good rating for a low-cost smartphone.

The upcoming smartphone’s specifications are not yet fully known. according to the Geekbench listing discovered by MySmartPrice, the Nokia G22 will be equipped with an octa-core 1.8GHz Unisoc T606 processor and Mali-G57 GPU. The smartphone will additionally include 4GB of RAM. On the software front, it will run Android 12 out of the box with stock Android UI.

Meanwhile, its predecessor, Nokia G21, was launched with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD waterdrop notch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. The phone has an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The smartphone is powered by and Unisoc T606 chipset and houses a 5,050mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It also has a 3.5mm jack for headphones and a fingerprint scanner for security.
