New Delhi:: To inspect the mock drill, health minister Saurabh Bharadwaj went on a surprise visit to Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital on Tuesday and checked its Covid and isolation wards, OPD, drug control department, and central store. He also ensured that sufficient beds, ventilators, and oxygen in the ICU ward were available.
Bharadwaj directed the hospital administration to increase the number of OPD and pharmacy counters as per the rise in the number of patients. He also asked the drug control department to take steps to not delay the reports of drug tests.
“We aim to ensure that every patient coming to the hospital gets good treatment and all medicines from the dispensary. Appropriate steps are being taken to ensure this,” said the minister. “The government is continuously working towards strengthening the public health infrastructure and providing the best facilities to all citizens in Delhi. Our aim is not only to make every Delhi government hospital better than private hospitals but also to make them one of the best in the whole country,” he added.
