Linda Yaccarino: Here’s what Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino has to say on tweet-reading limit – Times of India

Elon Musk announced a tweet-reading limit this past weekend citing system manipulation by companies that are developing generative AI platforms. According to Twitter, the temporary move is aimed at removing bots and bad actors; preventing data scraping and enhancing user experience on the microblogging platform. Contrary to some media reports which suggested that the limits may undermine the new company CEO, the top executive has thrown her support behind the decision.
In a tweet, she said that the company is working to ensure the authenticity of the user base on Twitter.
“When you have a mission like Twitter – you need to make big moves to keep strengthening the platform. This work is meaningful and on-going” she said in a tweet.Former Twitter CEO supports Musk’s decision
Yaccarino is not the first person to support Musk’s decision. Twitter co-founder and chief executive Jack Dorsey also threw his weight behind the reading limit. The former CEO Jack Dorsey said that running Twitter is a difficult task and said that the team is working their best under immense constraints.
“Running Twitter is hard. I don’t wish that stress upon anyone. I trust that the team is doing their best under the constraints they have, which are immense. It’s easy to critique the decisions from afar…which I’m guilty of…but I know the goal is to see Twitter thrive. It will,” he said.

“And I do hope they consider building on truly censorship-resistant open protocols like bitcoin and nostr to help ease that burden. Good for all, and critical to preserve the open internet,” Dorsey said in a separate tweet.
What is tweet-reading limit?
Musk announced over the weekend that Twitter Blue subscribers will be allowed to read 10,000 tweets a day, non-subscribers can read 1,000 tweets daily and the limit for new unverified accounts will be 500 tweets per day.
