The Paris Couture Week got off to a wild start as heritage couture house Schiaparelli showcased their Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2023 collection. The event was a star-studded affair, with Kylie Jenner and Doja Cat populating the front row in avant-garde looks created by Daniel Roseberry and reminiscent of founder Elsa Schiaparelli’s designs. While Kylie chose a black dress attached with a faux 3D lion head, Doja made a spectacular entrance in a red ensemble with her entire face and body painted red and decorated with crystals. Doja Cat and Kylie Jenner at the Schiaparelli show
On Monday (IST), Kylie Jenner and Doja Cat attended the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show in Paris. Kylie and Doja both made heads turn at the event in ensembles that clearly stole the show. Making a splash on the front row, Kylie chose a ruched black velvet maxi dress completed with an unlikely accessory – a giant 3D lion head. The faux art creation was attached like a corsage and covered most of her torso. She accessorised the animal-tastic look with golden toe-capped heels, a gold snakeskin bag, and gold earrings.
Kylie rounded off the look with bold glam picks, including on-fleek brows, glazed cocoa lip shade, subtle eye shadow, deep rouged cheekbones, winged eyeliner, mascara on the lashes, beaming highlighter, sharp contoured face and a sleek up-do.
As for Doja Cat, the singer broke barriers by mixing art and fashion. She attended the show alongside Kylie in a red ensemble. She wore a red dress featuring a corseted bodice and red beads-adorned skirt – styled by painting herself head-to-toe in red paint decorated with red crystals. Lastly, jewelled earrings, a satin floor-sweeping cape, heeled boots, and dangling earrings rounded it all off.
Meanwhile, Ruth Wilson, Diane Kruger, and Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing, among others, also attended the show. Some highlights from the collection included models arriving on the ramp in terracotta pencil skirts, shield-like wooden bodices, leopard heads on dresses, painted gold faces, naked painted gold torsos, and more.
