Keerthy Suresh gifts 130 gold coins to Dasara crew, including light boys and drivers

Actor Keerthy Suresh, who is gearing up for the release of forthcoming Telugu film Dasara, has gifted 130 gold coins to the film crew on the last day of the shoot. Reportedly, the gold coins are worth Rs. 70 lakh. Dasara, which is all set to release on March 30, also stars Nani. The film’s publicist told HT that Keerthy did give a gold coin each to 130 crew members including drivers and light boys. “Yes, it is true that Keerthy ma’am gifted gold coins to every crew member of Dasara. This includes drivers and lights boys as well. However, I’m not sure about the worth of the gold coins and if they amount to Rs. 70 lakh,” he said.

In Dasara, Keerthy plays a character called Vennela. She’s paired with Nani in the film, which has been directed by Odella Srikant. As per a report by Indian Express, she gifted 10 gm gold coin to each member and it’s valued at Rs. 70 lakh.

Dasara is set in the backdrop of Singareni coal mines near Godavarikhani in Telangana. Nani had recently described it as “pure raw, rustic, and adrenaline-rush of a film.

Speaking at the teaser launch, Nani said: “Last year, RRR came from Telugu cinema. KGF and Kantara came from Kannada cinema. I can confidently and with a lot of pride say that Dasara will come from Telugu cinema in 2023.”

Originally shot in Telugu, Dasara is gearing up for release in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada on March 30. It also stars Keerthy Suresh, Shine Tom Chacko and Sai Kumar in key roles.

Nani has pinned high hopes on the film. He had said in a recent press interaction that Dasara will be a career-defining film for him. “For a lot of people who’ve said I don’t work out of my comfort zone, this will be the answer. It’s a project that I have great expectations from and I’m sure audiences won’t be disappointed,” he said.
