iPhone 16 camera layout similar to iPhone 12

The upcoming iPhone 16 is rumoured to have a vertical camera layout, as shared by tipster @URedditor, which was last seen on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. The tipster states that combining the new design elements like the Dynamic Island feature and introducing a much anticipated USB-C port with this change would make the upcoming iPhone easily recognisable as the latest model. However, the tipster also mentioned that there might also be a change in plan.

Starting with the iPhone 13 series, the tech giant implemented a rear camera layout arranged diagonally. This design choice has carried over to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. It is anticipated that the upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will maintain the diagonal arrangement, which will mark the final models to showcase this particular design.

iPhone 16 series launch timeline

The iPhone 16 series will be launched in the second half of 2024, and it will likely include the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, which will most probably come as the iPhone 16 Ultra. And a recent report has suggested that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max/ Ultra will offer a more prominent display than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

It should be noted that the company is yet to unveil the iPhone 15 series, which will include the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. And it would be too soon to confirm any of these features officially.
