On the other hand, the voice search widget will let you search in Chrome with voice commands and users can jump directly into Chrome’s popular Dino game directly from your iOS 16 lock screen.

iPhone users can already swipe down from the lock screen to access the Siri-backed search. These new widgets will act as an alternative for users to initiate a quick search using text or voice. Moreover, these new widgets will also work the same way as the existing set available on the home screen.
Each of these four new lock screen widgets will measure 1×1 and the release not has also confirmed that the new update will allow iPhone users to view the Desktop version of sites by default. To do so, users have to enable the Set Default Site Mode to “Desktop” option available on the Content Settings menu. The release note also mentions stability and performance improvements for the app.
