This match of ongoing IPL tournament was extra special. This was the first time that two brothers were captaining the two teams against each other. When asked about how his family felt, Krunal Pandya joked that his mother said that it didn’t matter which side win, two points are coming to ‘home’. This was the second time that the two teams faced each other in IPL 2023. During the last encounter, GT had won the match by seven runs. Krunal was leading the LSG squad today due to absence of regular skipper KL Rahul.
