Pei’s response to Nothing Phone (2) price leak

• Nothing Phone (2), as per the leak, will start at €729 (Rs 65,600 approx) for the base model with 256GB storage. It is also said to come with 512GB onboard storage, and this variant will cost €849 (Rs 76,400 approx).
• This will also be the first time that Nothing introduces a 512GB model for the Phone (2), since the first-gen only offered 256GB as the highest storage variant.
• Pei responded to this leak in a rather sarcastic way. Here’s what he said:

• This isn’t the first time Pei has responded to Nothing Phone (2) leaks. Earlier Pei tweeted ‘Fake’ just after the Nothing Phone (2)’s leaked renders started doing the rounds online. The leak had suggested that there’s no design change with the Nothing Phone (2) and Nothing Phone (1).
• He posted more tweets reacting to memes about the lack of design change, suggesting that we might actually a different-looking Nothing Phone (2).
• Recently, Pei had shared an image of the Nothing Phone (2) Type-C cable, which has the brand’s trademark transparent design.

Nothing Phone (2) specifications (expected)

Here’s what we know about the Nothing Phone (2) so far. 

• Display: Nothing Phone (1) will feature a 6.7-inch display.
• Processor: The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
• Battery: Nothing also confirmed that the Phone (2) will pack a 4,700mAh battery.
• Software: Nothing Phone (2) is confirmed to receive three years of Android updates and four years of security updates. On the software front, it will most likely run Android 13-based Nothing OS 2.0 out of the box.
• Cameras: There isn’t much known about the Nothing Phone (2)’s camera but it’s speculated to house a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), and a 16MP front camera.
• Others: Other confirmed information about the Nothing Phone (2) is a transparent USB Type-C cable, and Flipkart availability in India.
