Here’s how you can charge the iPhone 13 Pro Max really ‘fast’ – Times of India

0
Smartphones in the Android world have gone beyond paltry charging speed for a while now. The likes of OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo and others give chargers with 50W+ capacity that let users charge their phones quickly. In comparison, Apple iPhones charge at relatively slower speeds. Apple doesn’t give a charger with the iPhones anymore and the fastest you can buy is 30W. However, with iPhone 13 Pro Max, users have an option to charge it relatively faster.
According to a video posted by ChargerLab on their YouTube channel, the iPhone 13 Pro Max can handle fast charging of up to 27W. The publication tried using 30W chargers to figure out the charging capabilities of the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
ChargerLab also showed that Apple’s most expensive iPhone can’t charge at 27W power all the time while charging. The iPhone 13 Pro Max, in comparison to the iPhone 12 Pro Max does charge faster as last year’s flagship’s maximum capacity was 22W.

The ‘trick’ to charge iPhone 13 Pro Max faster

Since you don’t get a charger these days, chances are you have an older charging brick which would be a maximum 20W. To charge the iPhone 13 Pro Max faster, you might need to have other Apple products in your house. For instance, if you have the M1 MacBook Air then Apple gives a 30W charger with it, which can be used to charge the iPhone 13 Pro Max quickly. Or even the MacBook Pro which has a 61W charger can be used. Do remember that you will have to use the Type-C to lightning cable that Apple still mercifully gives with the iPhones.
Apple does claim that all the new iPhones can get 50% better with about 30 minutes of charging. Then it takes another 60 minutes to charge fully. In comparison to flagship — or even some mid-range — Android phones, this is really slow.
