Google opens Android Auto beta program, here’s how to join – Times of India

0

Google is finally expanding the Android Auto beta program to allow more users to become beta testers and test out the new and upcoming features.
Earlier, Android Auto had limited slots and most times when people wanted to join it got an error message that the slots were currently full. That’s not the case anymore. More users with an Android smartphone and ready to deal with the buggy software experience can now enroll into the beta program.
“As a beta tester, you can help us build a better version of Android Auto. You can test how well new features work with your specific phone and vehicle in your part of the world,” Google has mentioned in its blog post.
The blog post also mentions the steps one needs to follow to become an Android Auto beta tester. They can head to the opt-in page and choose the option Become a tester. After enrolling into the program, they can download the beta update for the app from Google Play Store.
Google has also warned that the beta testing versions can be unstable and some features might not work properly.
In any case a user wanting to opt-out of the beta program can do that by going to the opt-out page and choosing Leave the program option.
This new beta expansion for Android Auto does not come as the surprise. Given the recent expansion of Android Auto last year, Google will need more users for testing the new features and feedback.
