Chennai: Gleneagles Global Health City (GGHC) launched an advanced Comprehensive Heart and Brain Centre in Chennai. The Advanced Heart and Brain Centre was inaugurated by Dr K Damodharan, in the presence of Dr Alok Khullar, CEO, Gleneagles Global Health City along with Dr Dinesh Nayak, Director of Neurology and Advanced Centre for Epilepsy, Dr Gobu P Senior Consultant & Interventional Cardiologist and Bhaskar Reddy, Head of Corporate Relations, Gleneagles Global Health City.
Speaking at the launch, Dr Khullar said, “With a specialised team of doctors dedicated to treat all aspect of brain and cardiac disorders, the centre will be able to expedite critical case diagnosis and provide patients with expert consultation. The centre is equipped with the latest advanced technologies and staffed by board certified neurosurgeons, neurologists, and neuro-interventionalists, cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and interventional cardiologists to diagnose and pave way for appropriate protocol for heart and Neuro ailments.”
The Centre is equipped with expertise to perform mechanical thrombectomy, a minimally invasive surgical procedure to remove a blood clot from an artery. The Centre also has neuro-intensive care and 24/7 on-site critical care coverage.
