Gauri Khan poses with Maheep Kapoor and their moms: ‘Friendship over generations’

Gauri Khan and Maheep Kapoor, and their kids have been friends since decades. While Gauri is the wife of actor Shah Rukh Khan, Maheep is the wife of actor Sanjay Kapoor. The interior designer and jewellery designer recently had a reunion, along with their respective mothers. Their daughters Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor are also friends, and got a mention in Maheep’s post from their get-together. Sharing a picture that showed Maheep sitting with her mom and Gauri sitting with her mom Savita Chhibber, Maheep wrote, “Friendship over generations missed you @suhanakhan2 and @shanayakapoor02 #MothersAndDaughters.” While Maheep is in a short beige dress, Gauri is seen in a short zebra-print dress. Shanaya, daughter of Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor, commented on the post with a heart emoticon.

Maheep made her OTT debut with Karan Johar’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, alongside Seema Khan, Bhavana Panday and Neelam Kothari. Gauri had made a cameo in the web series. Sanjay and Shanaya were also seen on the show. The show is now returning with a second season.

During the show, Maheep had talked about how Shah Rukh used to babysit their kids when they would go out together. As reported by Zoom, she said, “SRK used to be the babysitter. We dumped our children on him. I remember we were coming back and Shanaya was crying because we had to leave one day earlier. He used to shop for them and come back with juicy track pants I don’t know what. He took Shanaya to Hamleys and asked Shanaya what do you want.”

Both Suhana and Shanaya are also gearing up for their debut films at present. Suhana has just wrapped up the filming of Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies in Ooty. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda and the late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. Shanaya is working on Karan Johar’s Bedhadak that also stars debutants Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada. The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan.
