0

In the last game of the night, England, who won big time against Iran in their opening encounter will be up against the USA who drew against Wales in their opening game. It will be interesting to see how Harry Kane’s side reacts to Team USA who looked sharp against Wales.

Netherlands vs Ecuador

The start was not right for Ecuador as they conceded in only the sixth minute. However, after that, the South Americans picked up the pace and went for the goal a lot.

It is evident from the fact that in the entire game, even after having only 45% possession, they had 15 shots on goal and four on target compared to the Netherlands only two shots on goal and just one on target.

Enner Valencia scored for Ecuador while Cody Gakpo did for the Dutch. This draws brings an important conclusion as the host nation Qatar are out of the World Cup after just 19 games.
The Senegalese side has been helped by three of their best strikers in Bulayo Dia, Famara Diedhiou and Bamba Dieng as they beat hosts Qatar 3-1 to register their first win of the Fifa World Cup 2022.

While Dia scored in the first half, Diedhiou made it 2-0 at the start of the second half. Qatar tried to find their way back through Mohammed Muntari’s gaol in the 74th minute, but an 83rd-minute strike by Dieng closed all the doors for Qatar.

Having lost two games, Qatar’s hopes rest now on Ecuador beating both Netherlands and Senegal and then Qatar beating the Netherlands. But for Senegal, all they now need is a win against Ecuador in their last group game.

In what was a thriller of a game early in the day, Iran scored twice in injury time as the Wales goalkeeper was handed a red card and the Welsh team played with only 10 men for the last 15 minutes. Both the goals came in the last 20 minutes only
