EA announces free-to-play version of The Sims 4: Here’s when it will launch – Times of India

EA has good news for all The Sims fans. The Sims 4, a popular game in the franchise, will now be available for more gamers with a free version coming. The title’s publisher recently updated its official blog post to announce that The Sims 4 base game will be available for all new players to download for free. The free-to-play version of the game will be offered on several platforms including — Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X starting October 18. EA has also confirmed that it will keep on developing and releasing new — “packs, kits and Sims Delivery Express drops into the foreseeable future” to offer new and meaningful in-game experiences.
Behind The Sims Summit event: Date and other details
The company has also mentioned that the Behind The Sims Summit event will also be live streamed on October 18 at 10 am PDT (10.30 pm IST). Fans can catch the live stream on the official YouTube and Twitch channels of The Sims. EA will be discussing its plans for the game in the live event.

The Sims 4: Offers for EA Play and EA Play Pro members
As per the blog post, EA will also offer member-only bundles of The Sims 4 for EA Play and EA Play Pro members when they add the game to The Play List on October 18.
The EA Play edition of The Sims 4 will include The Sims 4 Get To Work Expansion Pack. Meanwhile, EA Play Pro members will not only get the just mentioned pack but will also receive The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff Pack.

The Sims 4: Other offers
EA will also offer the Desert Luxe Kit as a gift to all the players who buy The Sims 4 base game between September 14 and October 17. The Desert Luxe Kit will offer Sims indoor and outdoor furniture to relax in their modern oasis. This furniture will be inspired by the natural landscape of the Southwestern desert and will be made up of materials like stone and wood. Players just have to log into the game and the new kit will be available in the main menu for them to claim.
