Deepika Padukone looks vibrant, Hrithik Roshan keeps it casual as they leave for Fighter shoot. Watch

As Pathaan continues to run successfully in theatres worldwide, director Siddharth Anand is working on his next film, Fighter. The cast of Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Oberoi and Karan Singh Grover were spotted arriving at the Mumbai airport on Monday morning to work on the new Fighter schedule. Deepika Padukone arrived at the airport in a black top and blue denims paired with black boots and a colourful jacket. She had her hair tied in a bun and flashed a big smile before entering the gate.

Around the same time, Hrithik also reached the airport in black casuals and also wore a matching cap. He was joined by Akshay Oberoi, who was in a black tee, denims and a red check shirt. Both of them greeted each other with a warm hug and posed together for the paparazzi.

Fighter would be Hrithik and Deepika’s first film together and their second with Siddharth Anand. It will also star Anil Kapoor. While Deepika plays the female lead in Pathaan, Hrithik had played the lead alongside Tiger Shroff in his 2019 blockbuster, War.

Siddharth recently opened up about Fighter in a recent interview post the success of Pathaan. He said, “My next film Fighter is also larger than life. It is a massive scale action film with top stars in Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor… It is very ambitious. That’s what I want to do. I want to do things that give me sleepless nights.”

Before the announcement for Fighter, Deepika had expressed her desire to work with Hrithik Roshan after watching him in War. Teasing her about the same, Shah Rukh recently said at a Pathaan event, “In Fighter, Hrithik is the romantic lead. Deepika is the fighter. I have heard the story.”

Touted to be India’s first aerial action drama, Fighter also stars Karan Singh Grover. It is scheduled to release in theatres exactly an year after the release of Pathaan, on January 25, 2024.
