Ccb: Mgm To Get 50-bed Critical Care Block Under Ayushman, Health News, ET HealthWorld
Indore: Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College will have a new 50-bed critical care block (CCB) under PMJAY-Ayushman Bharat Scheme with technical support from USAID-Rise/Jhpiego.
The medical college authorities are finalising the space for the new facility under the scheme. The CCB will come up in MY hospital giving a major boost to the facility, officials said.
Superintendent, MY Hospital, Dr PS Thakur told TOI, “The process to identify the space for the new 50-bed CCB is on. A team will submit a design for the block in a day or so.” “After this, the medical college authorities will have a Memorandum of Understanding with the USAID-Rise/Jhpiego for technical support from organisation,” said Dr Thakur.
“The funds for the new CCB will be provided by the Union government through National Health Mission (NHM),” added Dr Thakur.
An official order from National Health Mission-Madhya Pradesh stated that at least 25 district hospitals, nine medical colleges would be equipped with 50 bed critical care blocks under the Union government flagship scheme.
The two district hospitals would have 100 bed critical care centres in three fiscals, including current financial year, showed order. The medical colleges that would have 50 beds CCBs are Chhindwara, Indore, Jabalpur, Khandwa, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar, Shahdol and Shivpuri, order showed.
The district hospitals that would have 50 bed CCBs are Ujjain, Khargone, Dhar, Satna, Hoshangabad, Sidhi, Singrauli, Barwani, Mandsaur, Rajgarh, Morena, Mandsaur, Rajgarh, Jhabua, Neemuch, Chhatarpur, Dewas, Panna, Tikamgarh, Siwani, Mandla, Harda, Dindori, Sheopur, Ashoknagar, Alirajpur and Bhind, order showed.
The two district hospitals which would have 100 bed CCB’s are Dhar and Chatarpur, order showed. The critical care block will be separate from a 200 bed trauma centre proposed in the hospital for the newly set up emergency medicine department in the medical college.
The medical college officially has 850 beds and requires around 200 more beds in accordance with protocol. So, they got a sanction for a new facility.
